Dear ONS National Capital Chapter members, We have two open positions for 2018-President-Elect & Treasurer. See descriptions for each position below. Please email the following to Ken Kilemi at Kenneth.M.Kilemi@medstar.net by November 14th if you are interested in running for one of the positions: 1. Name & credentials 2. Position you are running for 3. How long you have been an oncology nurse 4. How long you have been an active member of ONS and the National Capital Chapter 5. A short biography including where you currently work, your job title, and what experience you have as an oncology nurse. Also include why you are running for the position and what contributions you will make to our chapter as a board member. (250 words max) Description of Positions: President-Elect The position assists the current president with the strategic plan for the chapter, participates in quarterly board meetings and also represents the chapter at the ONS Leadership meeting in Pittsburgh held during the summer of 2018 (date to be determined). Eligibility criteria include: • Must be a current and active member of the chapter • Must be willing to make a three-year commitment to the chapter (2018 President-Elect, 2019 President, 2020 Past President) • Participate in quarterly board meetings • Participate in annual retreat in late Summer- Date TBD. • Attend the ONS Leadership Weekend meeting in Pittsburgh Treasurer The position is a two year commitment. The position is responsible for maintaining the chapters finances, budget, and submitting the annual report to National each year. Eligibility criteria include: • Must be a current and active member of the chapter • Must be willing to make a two-year commitment to the chapter • Participate in the annual retreat held on a Saturday in late Summer - Date TBD • Participate in quarterly board meetings
